In four weeks time, Ireland's biggest surf and music festival will kick off once again with headline acts including Seasick Steve, Example & Dj Wire and Maverick Sabre. However, Sea Sessions is not only about the music as these artists will be joined by a host of pro surfers.

Now in its eighth year, the Quiksilver Expression Session forms an integral part of Sea Sessions as some of Europe's best free surfers compete for Ireland’s top cash prize. After years of French, Australian and English victors, last year saw Ireland’s Geroid McDaid, establish himself on the international scene with a big win.

Geroid is about to embark on the European Junior circuit and stated, “We know that we have some of the best surf in the world and the fact that top surfers like Liam Turner from the UK or Simon Pegg from as far as New Zealand want to compete is testament to that. I just can’t wait to show them what us Irish boys can do.”

Sea Sessions will also host the DC Skate Jam which will see DC bring their European team to skate with the top Irish Skaters such as Gav Gonlaghan, Dee Collins and Joe Hill. The skate park will be right in the middle of the festival arena and with some of Europe's top skaters in action, it's sure to be a crowd favourite.

Niall Hasset head of Quicksilver/DC Ireland said “We had an amazing few days at Sea Sessions last year we're glad to be back. The DC Skate ramp and the surf comp' were two high points for me. We had some serious skaters and surfers mingling with the nicest festival crowd in Ireland.”

Sea Sessions also has plenty of other sports events in store, with the Barefoot Wine Beach Soccer, Beach Tag Rugby and Beach Volleyball offering the average festival goer lots of craic on the beach. So, if you’re a surfer, skater, a beach sports fanatic or just a festival fan get yourself to Sea Sessions 19th - 21st June 2015.
