HIGHLIGHTS from Kelly Slater's road to victory at the Hurley Pro Trestles.
Kelly's 50th tour victory came at the expense of Joel Parkinson and further condensed the the top three spots on the word tour. Slater now sits at third on the ASP WCT ratings but can't afford any more bad results if he is to secure an historic 12th world title.
Parkinson was dominant throughout the event, dropping nines with ease. At points both the ocean and the judging appearing to be rooting for him, especially in his heat with Jordy Smith. However in the final Kelly turned it on, as is his way, and that was it - 50 career World Tour victories.
Current ASP top three:
Mick Fanning - 41250 points
Joel Parkinson - 39700 points

HIGHLIGHTS from day three at the Hurley Pro at Trestles in California.
Kelly Slater was on a tear until his interference call with Julian Wilson dumped him into a Rd5 tussle with Jeremy Flores. Other Rd5 match-ups are: Julian Wilson vs
Mick Fanning, Josh Kerr vs Jordy Smith and Adriano de Souza vs Gabriel Medina. Ready and waiting in the quarters are: Taj Burrow, Ace Buchan, Joel Parkinson and JJ Florence.
The deck is stacked and the forecast predicts a finish for the event on Thursday. Who's your call for the win? © 2013 Hurley
HIGHLIGHTS from day two at the Hurley Pro at Trestles in California.
No-one likes losing in Round 2 and none more so than local boy Kolohe Andino. He almost had the win nailed down but failed to bank quite enough and was undone via a desperation rodeo thrown by Heitor Alves. A move landed so cleanly by the athletic Brazilian that it almost seemed run of the mill, it wasn't. Oddly those few seconds didn't make the cut on the highlight? You can see it here.
Pat Gudauskas could well feel equally frustrated coming up against a rampaging Jeremy Flores, edging the Californian duo closer to the point of no return in 2012.
When competition resumes, defending Hurley Pro at Trestles winner Kelly Slater comes up against Matt Wilkinson, in the opening heat of Round 3. Forecast-wise it looks like Wednesday and Thursday offer a punchy two day window to finish up the comp. It'll be live here. © 2013 ASPWorldTour
HIGHLIGHTS from day one at the Hurley Pro at Trestles in California.
Day one saw most of the usual seeds coming through with a few (since corrected) slip-ups from John John Florence and Joel Parkinson.
Dusty Payne took out his first heat victory of the year, Taj busted a mongo spin, Gabby Medina looked ominously competitive and Kelly Slater imperious. © 2013 ASPWorldTour
