A LOT of surf production gets pretty dull if you spend all day looking at perfect barrels, airs and enough glitz to drown Vegas. Here's a different take on the same old, same old, from Tim Davies and Alan Stokes, a bit like Creative Destruction in colour, minus the artsy post punk nod. Episode one, Take me to the sun, features the winter escape from freezing Newquay in Cornwall, to the warmer waters of Central America. "I would love to say I landed this but I didn't, I actually ended up landing on some guy paddling out, woops, didn't even see him..." © 2013 Hannah Crossley
Who said being a movie star was glamorous?! With ideas running thin on what the team could shoot as the visual metaphor for LIFE, they ended up lobbing eggs at Alan..."We had to slightly crack the eggs first just in case we knocked him out...everyone was laughing pretty hard." © 2013 Hannah Crossley
After shooting beach breaks for days on end, the guys were stoked to finally find a rock to shoot side angles from. "We shot it everyday for like a week and more often than not the shitty closeout would get the better of Al and he would come in annoyed, at one point we had to have a four day break because he was that frustrated by just going straight." - Tim © 2013 Hannah Crossley
"80's music rocks my world what can I say, good times and one hell of a night with the crew." - Stokesy © 2013 Hannah Crossley
A massive relief after dying of heatstroke from filming in the day. "The last 20 minutes of light at the end of the day is just gold when your filming, could we land anything, could we heck, ha ha sorry Tim, my round is it." - Stokesy © 2013 Hannah Crossley
It was a long few weeks of sunburn, surf, two-for-one cocktails and 80s nights out, and finally Episode 1 of StRaNGe Beautiful LIFE was ready to roll... did you like it? © 2013 Hannah Crossley
