Summer is almost over in the Northern Hemisphere and this previously unseen clip from Tom Lowe reminds you that autumn is knocking on the door. A day of stormy surf gave Lowey an excuse for a few wangs off the tow rope at Mullaghmore last winter.
We all dig Mickey Smith’s production and wanted to know how the boys timeline and schedule their releases. Turns out they don’t. “I buy all the footage from the boys, then give it to Mick, and then when he’s feeling it, he will bust out something cool” Tom told us “We’ve got so much footage, but we just space it out, there’s no pressure from me.”
When asked if he was looking forward to winter in Ireland? Tom replied. “For sure, I’m 100% now with my shoulder. Rehab has been a lot faster than I expected, that’s due to my frame of mind, and the work I’ve put in at the gym. My friend and personal trainer out here Pedro Delgado Hernandez has helped me heaps with training and I can’t thank him enough.
“I’m back in the water now and feeling good considering I had four months of no surfing. I just can’t wait to be back in some big surf. I’m fitter than I’ve ever been, stronger in my head, and ready to push my surfing to the next level. I’ve new guns shaped, new waves I want to paddle, a whole new love to challenge myself when the time comes. I’m ready now, if there a massive swell this autumn in Ireland I plan to be on it.
