5ft Calm Cross-Shore wind * * *
Surf conditions at 7.15 a.m. on Thursday 11th April 2013: It's a thick and rolling, lumpy swell that's swinging into the bay this morning! It's just after high tide this mild and sunny morning and so there's a lot of bouncy backwash ricocheting off the shore dump but those big set waves are just mowing their way to the beach. There's one guy out having a solo session, getting the odd big peak off the rip and taking it all the way in. There is no wind as yet, the superlight breeze breathing offshore still (south easterly) while all of the forecasts are indicating the wind to build from the south west, onshore. Hopefully that won't become too strong! Yep, it's looking good right now but expect it to become more and more mixed up and sloppy as the day rolls on.
