4ft Light Cross-Shore wind * * *
Surf conditions at 7.05 a.m. on Sunday 17th March, St. Patrick's Day, 2013: And it's yet another surprisingly bright and pleasant and calm morning with only a light breeze and a setty three to four feet of lumpy but glassy surf. Very nice for St. Patrick's Day! The breeze is lighter and more easterly again than was expected. It's maybe east north easterly or something like that, similar to yesterday inasmuch as it's gently blowing the tops off the waves but there's still that slop to the wave faces and it's a bit bouncy on the inside too. But it is also lined up and peeling off the usual breaks. Maybe that breeze is onshoreish but bouncing off the headland and the dunes. Yep, yesterday was way better than expected and today is looking good too! And the lineup is likely to be fairly thin this morning too following on to 'that' best rugby match ever yesterday and then 'beer and mussels' at the Cornish. And St. Paddy's to celebrate today too? Tomorrow could be a slow one for many!
